Privacy

Harta.md does not ask for an account. We do not sell personal data. Below is what happens technically when you use the map.

What we do not collect

There is no sign-up, password or profile. We do not ask for a name, phone number or email to search an address. We do not store your search history on our server.

Statistics (Google Analytics 4)

Public pages run Google Analytics 4, identifier G-Q4HLBHNLBB. Google receives page-view events (URL, language, device type) so we can see which pages are useful. We do not use remarketing and we do not build advertising audiences.

You can limit cookies in the browser settings or through Google’s controls. Without Analytics the map still works.

Location (GPS)

The location button asks for browser permission. Coordinates stay in your session, on the device, to centre the map or fill point A. We do not send them to a Harta.md server. On a site without HTTPS, except localhost, browsers block geolocation.

Third-party map services

The browser loads tiles, search and routing from Harta.md. Our server requests them, when needed, from:

These services see the IP address of the Harta.md server and the query (for example the search text or the click coordinates), according to their policies. Without them the map cannot show streets or routes.

Language stored locally

Your language preference (RO / EN / RU) is kept for one year in the harta_md_lang cookie so the next visit opens the same version. If the browser does not send a known language, we open English. An /en/ or /ru/ link stays on that language, even if the browser is set to another one. Search engines are not redirected.

Questions about the service: the About page. How to use the map: Guide.
